Course Description:
Well Heads and Xmas Trees are critical parts of any Oil & Gas Well. They control the pressures in the Casings and Production Tubing, regulate the production rates and are very important barriers in case of leaks.
Course Goal:
To provide the participant with principal knowledge of wellhead operation, inspection and maintenance.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participant will be able to:
•Learn more about x-mas trees, wellhead equipment, mechanical barriers, safety valves and wellhead control systems
•Develop the knowledge relationship between the surface (Well Heads) and downhole.
•Discuss well integrity and HSE risks associated with perforation of oil and gas wells, including fishing, stimulation, fracturing, well testing and wire-line operations
•Develop a better understanding about wellhead operating procedures, well handovers & working under safe conditions.
•Investigate leaks and identify the cause of the leak
•Determine Tubing pressures (based on the depth of perfs, the density of fluid and BHFP).
•Explain the influence of corrosion models on MAASP pressures and on Well Life Cycle
