• Preparation for Startup.

1. Fundamental procedures for boiler startup.
2. Verifying the fuel supply.
3. Verifying the water supply.
4. Lining up the fuel system.
5. Lining up the condensate and feed-water system.
6. Lining up the air system.
7. Starting the auxiliary systems.

• Boiler Startup.

1. Basic startup procedures for a typical boiler.
2. Selecting the appropriate fuel supply.
3. Placing the control stations in the “hand” position.
4. Starting the forced draft fan.
5. Purging the boiler.
6. Adjusting the forced fan control station.
7. Preparing the ignitor for operation.
8. Starting the burner.
9. Adjusting the fuel and forced draft fan control stations to automatic operation.
10. Bringing the boiler up to normal operating temperature and pressure.
