Course Description

The high cost of maintenance has prompted many organizations to view the management of the maintenance function with more urgency. The increase in the size and complexity of many technical systems, for example process plants, assembly plants, power generation systems, mines, factories and fleet systems, has resulted in maintenance being accepted as an important mainstream function in such companies.

Management of the maintenance function is becoming increasingly difficult due to the complexity of the resources (technical systems, workforce, information, etc.) and the processes involved. The main focus is on the application of the management principles of planning, organizing and control within the maintenance environment. The course also offers a brief overview of strategies such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Business Centered Maintenance (BCM).

Course Goal:

To enhance the delegate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to give him some practical exposure to problem solving in the management of the maintenance function in oil and gas industry and to understand how maintenance interacts with the other departments of the enterprise
