Course Description:
Research has shown that the process of planning and establishing goals helps to achieve the goals themselves. Without goals, decision making is more difficult, managing time is challenging, prioritizing tasks is near impossible. For professionals, having a set of goals provides the necessary guidance for making day-to-day decisions about where time is spent, without having to necessarily ask for management involvement. On the other hand, at performance review time, having established and agreed upon goals makes evaluation and feedback easier for both the manager and the employee. In this program, participants learn how to set a goal, establish success measures, and use goals to establish priorities and working plans. This 5-day course covers techniques that help participants to make the best decisions. With these tools they will be able to map out the likely consequences of decisions, work out the importance of individual factors, and choose the best course of action to take.
