Course Description:
This course covers the problems with calcareous formations and how to estimate the reserve, oil & gas from carbonate reservoirs. Finally the course well test evaluation for fractured reservoir & how to increase the recovery by acidizing
Course Goal:
To enhance the participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to understand and use modern methods to improve calcareous formations
Course Objectives:
Participants will learn how to deal with calcareous reservoirs. Also, the participants will learn how the relative permeability & pore structure affect on the recovery from calcareous reservoirs. Finally it enables one to make acidizing & evaluate pre- & post treatment of successful acidizing
Course Outlines:
- Carbonate Rock Classification
- Pore Geometry of Carbonate Rocks and Capillary Pressure Curves
- Interrelation Among Surface Area, Permeability, Porosity, Pore Size And Residual Water Saturation
- Permeability & Relative Permeability Of Carbonate Reservoir
- Fluid Flow Through Carbonate Rock System
- Oil & Gas Reserve Estimation Method
- Acidzing of Carbonate Reservoir
- Formation Evaluation By Well Testing
Who Can Benefit?
Production reservoir engineers & managers involved in projects of increasing the recovery
