Course Description:
The rapidly increasing worldwide demand for natural gas as an energy source requires expertise in gas engineering technology. Incorporating a balance between theory and application, this course presents an overview of the natural gas industry, from wellhead to marketplace, with emphasis on gas plant operations. The overall process flow diagram is used to illustrate how the various individual plant operations are integrated to create gas plants capable of handling feeds from gas fields around the world. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the major processes for gas compression, dehydration, acid gas removal and tailgas cleanup, sulfur recovery, cryogenic extraction of natural gas liquids (NGL), as well as LNG production, storage and transportation
Course Goal:
To enhance the participants’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to understand the major processes for gas compression, dehydration, acid gas removal and tailgas cleanup, sulfur recovery, cryogenic extraction of natural gas liquids (NGL), as well as LNG production, storage and transportation.
