This course covers production equipment systems in oil fields. The impacts of the selected system on personnel training, technology transfer, and facility modification are also covered. Many illustrative problems, worked in the class by teams, are helpful in gaining a better grasp of the subject matter.
This course provides an overview of oil production operations and covers wellheads and flow lines, piping systems, separators, crude heating and cooling, crude dehydration & desalting systems, crude stabilization, crude storage, crude shipping & crude quality specifications, measurement and control systems, flare systems, chemical injection systems, oil field waters, and associated gas treatment.
