Course Description:

Clean water is essential for everyday life. Water treatment plant and system operators treat water so that it is safe to drink. Liquid waste treatment plant and system operators, also known as wastewater treatment plant and system operators, remove harmful pollutants from domestic and industrial liquid waste so that it is safe to return to the environment. this course covers all aspects and issues related to industrial wastewater treatment systems like API separators, TPI and CPI systems and also sewage wastewater treatment which released by residences, businesses and industries in a community

Course Goal:

To enhance the participant’s Knowledge, Abilities and Skills necessary to manage  wastewater treatment systems like API separators, TPI and CPI systems and also sewage wastewater treatment which released by residences, businesses and industries in a community

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course the participant will be able to:

1. Discuss the environmental regulations cover wastewater effluents
2. Make full chemical analysis of wastewater like TDS, TSS, Oil and Grease and petroleum HC, BOD5, COD, Color, pH, and heavy metals to fulfill all environmental regulation according to ASTM, IP, UOP, and APHA.
3. Explain the concept of API separators.
4. Explain the concept of TPI separators., TPI, CPI and DAF.
5. Explain the concept of CPI separators
6. Explain the concept of DAF (dissolved air floatation).
7. Explain the concept of sewage water treatment systems like septic tanks and oxidation tanks and active sludge systems.
