• Identify the Legislation controlling the use of chemicals in the workplace
• Describe the basic principles of chemical storage
• Identify the major chemical hazards in their workplace
• Describe the benefits and limitations of personal protective equipment

• Classification of chemicals
• Identification of chemical hazard (DOT, NFPA, HIMS)
• Chemical storage requirements
• Chemical contamination hazards
• Use of Material Safety Data Sheets and selection and use of personal protective equipment
• Hazard analysis of chemical handling
